Cars, SUVs and pickups on a wheel-lift or a flatbed are covered by it. Vans, box trucks, buses and tractors need a medium or heavy-duty truck, which carries its own quote.
The mileage
On top of the fee comes a per-mile charge from the pickup to the drop-off. A run across Jersey City, or over to Hoboken, Bayonne, Kearny or Secaucus, adds a small amount. Manhattan, Brooklyn, the shore or another state is a long distance tow whose quote already carries the tolls and the drive back.
